Pamela B. Greenfield, Esq.

Attorney, Partner

Pamela is a co-founder and owner of Birchgrove Law Collaborative, LLC. Pamela’s roots are in elder law and long-term care planning for senior citizens. She has a passion for helping seniors and their loved ones navigate through the continuum of care as they age and advising them on how to properly finance their options. Pamela focuses her practice in elder law, asset protection planning and complex MassHealth applications and appeals. She additionally represents families and skilled nursing facilities in guardianship and conservatorship matters as well as probate and estate administration.

Pamela is also an estate planning attorney for clients of all ages. She is especially connected to her clients with young or differently-abled children because she is a working mom of two boys and understands the financial and emotional challenges parents face. She prides herself in simple yet complete, cost-effective estate planning for all of her clients–young and old.

Prior to founding Birchgrove, Pamela owned and operated Greenfield Planning Group, LLC from 2018 through 2024.  Pamela has also worked at Seegel, Lipshutz, Lo & Martin, LLP in Wellesley; Samuel, Sayward and Baler, LLC in Dedham; and Cohen & Oalican, LLP, in Boston and Raynham.

Pamela has served as both chair and panelist for various Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) programs.  She is an active a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Massachusetts Chapter, where she served on the Board of Directors from 2015 – 2022 and as Chapter President in 2021. Pamela is repeatedly acknowledged as a Super Lawyer in the field of elder law by the Massachusetts Super Lawyers publication.

When not practicing law, Pamela, who lives in Needham, enjoys spending time with her boys, Sawyer and Bennett, as well as their small menagerie of pets. You can often find Bruno the black lab snoozing on our conference room floor.  Pamela is active in the Needham Public Schools where she recently served as Chair of Needham SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council).

Jennifer M. Lo, Esq.

Jennifer is co-founder and owner of Birchgrove Law Collaborative, LLC. She has over 20 years experience in the matters of estate planning and estate and trust administration.  Jennifer enjoys working with clients and their families to put in place practical and meaningful estate plans that achieve the dispositional goals and wishes of each client, while also looking to minimize each client’s estate and income taxes as assets move from generation to generation.

Jennifer is a regular faculty speaker for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) on Estate Planning, Transfer Tax – Estate Tax, Gift Tax, and Generation Skipping Transfer Tax.

When not drafting estate plans, Jennifer enjoys hiking in New Hampshire where she has a home.

Jessica K. Gilmartin, Esq.

Jessica concentrates her practice in the area of estate planning and trust administration. As part of her estate planning practice, Jessica helps develop and draft customized estate plans to meet the distinctive goals of clients and families. In her trust administration practice, Jessica works closely with Trustees and beneficiaries in implementing the trust terms and provisions. Prior to joining the firm, Jessica was an enforcement attorney with the Massachusetts Securities Division where she investigated and litigated cases involving violations of Massachusetts financial securities laws and was an estate planning associate with a firm in Newton.

Allison Orenstein, Esq.

Allison brings nearly fifteen years of legal experience in the real estate industry, and heads the real estate branch at Birchgrove.  As a residential conveyancing attorney, Allison’s practice focuses on representing consumers and mortgage lenders in all aspects of real estate transactions, as well as advising on and curing complex title issues.

Allison’s real estate legal expertise has been featured in several news publications such as U.S. News and World Report and she frequently creates content for and conducts real estate seminars for professionals and consumers on emerging trends in the real estate industry.

Allison is a perfect compliment to the firm’s estate planning clients.

Allison resides in Weston with her husband and her three (all under the age of 6!) little boys.

Gailynn Knotts, J.D.

Gailynn is an associate at Birchgrove Law Collaborative, LLC. Dedicated to helping those around her, Gailynn focuses her practice in the areas of estate planning and elder law. Gailynn is interested in how the law intersects with her own experiences with growing, changing, and aging family, and she utilizes it to compassionately guide Birchgrove’s clients as they navigate the complexities that inevitably come with planning for the future.

Gailynn graduated from New England Law | Boston and concentrated her studies in Trusts and Estates, earning a spot on the Dean’s List every semester and maintaining the Dean’s Scholarship throughout her enrollment. Prior to joining Birchgrove, Gailynn worked as a law clerk at Greenfield Planning Group, LLC and Seegel, Lipshutz, Lo & Martin, LLP, assisting with the preparation of estate planning documents, MassHealth applications, and probate filings.

Joanne Kyriacopoulos, J.D. and

Joanne is a third-year law student at New England Law | Boston, originally from Toronto, Canada.

Joanne moved to Boston to pursue her legal education after being awarded the Sandra Day O’Connor Scholarship which is awarded to students with exceptional academic achievements.

Joanne currently holds the position of President of the Tax Law Society, where she is actively involved in promoting the study of tax law. She is also working towards obtaining a Tax Certificate to further her specialization in this area.

Her primary interest in estate planning and taxes is driven by a strong personal connection between people and property. Joanne’s desire to help others fuels her passion for this area of law.

Joanne is multilingual, speaking English, Greek, and French fluently.
